Victoria Hodges is a Ph.D. candidate at Rutgers University where she is currently working on her dissertation on dance, choreography, aesthetics, and the senses in ancient narrative. During her time as a doctoral fellow, she has held two external research and academic fellowships at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens and has participated in the excavations at Ancient Corinth, Pompei, and Stobi, North Macedonia. Before coming to Rutgers, she earned her M.A. in Classics at San Francisco State and her B.A. in Anthropology and Archaeology at Texas A&M University. Since earning her M.A., Victoria has taught courses in Greek, Latin, and gender and sexuality in Greece and Rome, and has given lectures at various archaeological sites throughout Greece on ancient civilization. She currently splits her time between Athens and Oxford and is excited to take up her first year of teaching for Calder Classics on beautiful Samothraki.
